CONNOR SCHWANTES
Connor Schwantes is a teacher, choreographer, and jazzer He has been dancing professionally for a decade in NYC and abroad. Working first on cruise ships, before transferring into regional contracts in NJ, NH, PA and NY to name a few. Connor Schwantes was the Associate Choreographer on the Tony nominated Broadway show Days of Wine and Roses and most recently has worked on the original new musical Ask For the Moon, as the Associate Director/Choreographer. He has performed Off-Broadway in Trip of Love and When Change Comes; also worked and fundraised for Broadway Bares, BCEFA, and Broadway’s Easter Bonnet. He has taught at over a dozen studios as a regular substitute teacher in the Tri-State area and has judged for multiple competitions as well as choreographed group numbers in Theatre Jazz. You have seen him on TV performing for Jimmy Fallon, SNL, Danced on the PBS special for the 4th of July spectacular, as well as various commercials and ads. Connor has helped choreograph, prepro, and assist on dozens of projects in NYC ranging from Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional and tour contracts. Additional recent works include; associate choreographer to Karla Garcia, on the New Musical Otherworld and Noir.
Connor wants to spread the love of jazz and bring theatre to as many people as he can. Specializing in Partnering, Jazz and Theatre Jazz, he is excited to train the future generations of dancers to come.
