
DAVID CADY
DAVID CADY is currently a professor of musical theatre performance and auditioning at AMDA, NY. He was a New York City casting director for close to 30 years during which time he cast countless TV commercials as well as Disney’s "Enchanted," Michael John LaChiusa’s "The Petrified Prince" for the Public Theater and the world premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Jim Steinman’s "Whistle Down the Wind," directed by Harold Prince. Other casting credits include the original "Dirty Dancing" and many projects for The Directors Company/Harold Prince Musical Theatre Project.
He was an original cast member of the Stephen Sondheim and George Furth Broadway musical "Merrily We Roll Along," and can be seen reminiscing about the experience in "The Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened," the 2016 documentary film directed by Lonny Prince.
